[21:44:41]<AntiNSA>question to room- I know that octopus stock pressflow 6module makes use of the cache module; if we import a site, ad we would likt to install and use the cache module, could we simply edit the settings php as directed in the cache install readme.txt or is there a special configuration with octopus that we should not do this?
[21:56:16]<mig5>i'd say you can, but that you should create a new file local.settings.php (in the same directory as settings.php) and put the necessary configuration in there.
[21:56:30]<mig5>this ensures that aegir doesn't re-write your settings.php and blow your changes away (it will never touch the local.settings.php)

Also I find durring setup on a linoe I have to set my mx address as my hostname to have a fully qualified domain adress or I get an error during the octopus.baraacuda setup....
