[10:34:29]<tommyent>Following instructions on omega88 I am not able to import the database using drush sqlc < /data/disk/USER/static/domain.sql It just spits out http://pastebin.com/1JZqZPjC Any ideas
[10:38:12]<wamilton>tommyent: what instructions on omega88 ?
[10:38:35]<tommyent>wamilton http://omega8.cc/import-your-sites-to-aegir-in-8-easy-steps-109
[10:40:29]<tommyent>wamilton: can I just import command line?
[10:40:35]<wamilton>tommyent: there's nothing here that indicates that it didn't give you a db. Did it not?
[10:41:10]<tommyent>Should I be removing the default dir
[10:41:22]<tommyent>Yeah an new D6 instll
[10:41:55]<wamilton>tommyent: notices are just notices, unless an error follows shortly thereafter, you can ignore them in general
[10:42:39]<tommyent>wamilton: I ran it again for the 3rd or 4th time and it worked
[10:42:47]<wamilton>tommyent: is something actually wrong?
[10:43:14]<tommyent>wamilton: I stand corrected
[10:43:27]<tommyent>Yeah it's not importing the database
[10:43:55]<tommyent>wamilton: I had the local version open when I thought it worked
[10:44:08]<wamilton>tommyent: that will happen
[10:45:49]<wamilton>tommyent: humor me please, run : echo $PWD
[10:45:56]<tommyent>sure

[10:47:52]<tommyent>wamilton: /data/disk/tommyent/static/geodatavision/sites/geodatavision.com
[10:48:13]<tommyent>Sorry colloquy locked up
[10:49:37]<wamilton>tommyent: also happens. this output in the pastebin is just from invoking `drush sqlc < something.sql` ?
[10:50:49]<tommyent>Yea
[10:52:15]<wamilton>I'm thinking there might be something wrong with your sql dump at this point
[10:53:56]<wamilton>if you have a local machine, can you import it into a db on there without issue?
[10:55:22]<wamilton>tommyent: actually, first, can you tell me what you get from `drush sa` and `drush sqlc` without the < redirection ?
[10:55:49]<tommyent>@self
[10:55:49]<tommyent>default
[10:56:34]<tommyent>and sqlc spits back the paste bin using -v
[10:57:20]<wamilton>does it have any output when you don't force verbosity, and do you get a sql prompt?
[10:57:40]<tommyent>no and no
[10:57:58]<wamilton>ouch
[10:59:00]<tommyent>wamilton: that doesn't sound good
[10:59:35]<tommyent>wamilton: no I'm just an idio
[10:59:40]<tommyent>idiot
[11:00:00]<wamilton>tommyent: in a way that helps?
[11:01:02]<tommyent>I forgot Drush and just ran sqlc still give nothing though
[11:03:56]<wamilton>so the result of `drush sqlc` and `sqlc` is the same?
[11:04:26]<tommyent>Yeah
[11:05:31]<tommyent>wamilton: can't bootstrap the db
[11:05:51]<wamilton>tommyent: that's what it seems like, but generally the error is much more overt
[11:06:48]* patcon has joined #aegir
[11:10:04]<tommyent>wamilton: well there is no database
[11:10:18]<wamilton>tommyent: how are you checking that?

[11:10:24]<tommyent>mysql
[11:10:57]<wamilton>lol
[11:11:08]<wamilton>so just invoking mysql gets you in just fine?

[11:49:41]<halcyonCorsair>ah yep
[11:49:56]<halcyonCorsair>i'm just in the middle of a deployment, but any of the stuff in particular at the top of your list?
[11:50:38]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: don't fail if it's already installed :P
[11:51:35]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: I liked it alot all the same, good work
[11:52:44]* mrfelton has quit (Quit: mrfelton)
[11:54:46]<halcyonCorsair>wamilton: ah lol, yeah, good point :)
[11:55:58]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: it really sucked because I homebrew went and snap-upgraded to mysql 5.5, so you can actually get mariadb without some impressive building or just blanking your data dir and ripping out mysql that way
[11:56:21]<wamilton>*because homebrew went...*
[11:58:20]<wamilton>fortunately, none of my dbs mattered, so rm -rf solved every problem
[11:59:09]<realityloop>halcyonCorsair: pretty much all of the open issues, I'd really like to be able to let people know about th script, and will want to use it when I get new laptop.. whenever Apple decide to release them anyway..
[11:59:54]<halcyonCorsair>wamilton: so homebrew updating your db killed your data, or?
[12:00:18]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: no, I couldn't actually install mariadb
[12:00:31]<halcyonCorsair>because you already had mysql, or?
[12:00:42]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: mariadb 5.1,2,3 is based on mysql 5.1
[12:01:04]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: there is no path from mysql 5.5 to mariadb except to downgraded to mysql 5.1 first
[12:01:52]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: ...and that became a pain in the ass when homebrew changed its make magic to work for 5.5
[12:03:08]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: I did the `brew versions` `checkout the whole of /usr/local at the auspicious commmit` `brew edit for the new path to the tar.gz` `brew install mysql` but it threw a make error
[12:06:10]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: ostensibly, if I had managed to install 5.1, I could have imported my 5.5 dumps into it, then dumped them back out, then gutted mysql, then put that dump into the freshly installed mariadb
[12:07:12]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: so, the million-dollar idea is to stand up a server that takes 5.5 dump.sql.tgz files and sucks them into 5.1 and then sends the user a download link to the newly 5.1-compliant dump
[12:07:35]<wamilton>halcyonCorsair: we can call it myemancipator.net or something
[12:09:19]<wamilton>realityloop and halcyonCorsair: one problem that persists is that I still can't get php-fpm to start properly on boot, it just prints log messages that it's going to exit, then does, and then it works fine when I do `sudo php-fpm`

[19:23:47]<kepford>Just noticed this today but it may have been an issue ever since I migrated to octopus.
[19:25:44]<omega8cc>kepford: hmm, it looks like your site configuration issue, no? the access denied is displayed by drupal, not by nginx
[19:25:56]<omega8cc>kepford: try this http://theweeklydrop.com/archive/issue-30?utm_source=The+Weekly+Drop&utm...
[19:26:25]<omega8cc>the nocache=1 at the end disables speed booster on the fly
[19:26:44]<omega8cc>w/o this it serves the page from cache
[19:26:53]<kepford>Yeah that works. I thought it was just the site config but a site clone worked fine for a while then the 403's came back
[19:27:04]<omega8cc>stored when it was not published yet?
[19:27:14]<kepford>?
[19:27:45]<omega8cc>drupal responds with 403 when the node is not published, right?
[19:28:18]<kepford>Ah, yes. But not sure why Drupal would think these nodes are not published
[19:28:44]<omega8cc>if anyone tries to access the URL when it is not published, it will store the 403 response
[19:28:46]<omega8cc>but
[19:28:49]<omega8cc>it is a bug
[19:28:52]<omega8cc>anyway
[19:28:57]<omega8cc>in the speed booster
[19:29:11]<omega8cc>we shouldn't cache 403 for more than 1s
[19:29:42]<kepford>I will submit a bug report tomorrow… well, after I get a few hours of sleep.
[19:30:14]<omega8cc>it is already there: http://drupal.org/node/1528996
[19:30:14]<hefring>http://drupal.org/node/1528996 => Nginx microcaching should use fastcgi_cache_valid with 1s only for upstream errors => Provision, HTTP Service, major, fixed, 3 comments, 1 IRC mention
[19:30:21]<omega8cc>just 403 is missing there
[19:30:23]<kepford>I access these pages as unpublished. So, is this only affecting me. Or is this page being cached for everyone
[19:30:59]<omega8cc>if you are not logged in, you are creating cache entry for all

[19:35:16]<kepford>Yep. I'm on 2.0.2
[19:39:30]<kepford>Thank you omega8cc. I was getting very angry. Now at least I understand it and have a workaround
[19:40:27]<omega8cc>kepford: we should add default 1s in the nginx config instead of specify TTL for some responses
[19:40:45]<omega8cc>that is the source of the problem
[19:40:50]<omega8cc>sorry for that
[19:41:54]<omega8cc>because it looks like Nginx bug
[19:42:09]<omega8cc>Nginx docs says: "the default behavior is to cache only replies with the codes 200, 301 and 302"
[19:42:28]<omega8cc>and it is not true, as Nginx caches everything, even 500/WSOD
[19:42:39]<omega8cc>which is crazy
[19:43:08]<omega8cc>I will fix this in our config and submit a bug report upstream
[19:44:24]<kepford>so here is another weird deal. If the ?utm_source is the same for two urls, the content of the first url will be delivered when requesting both urls
[19:45:12]<kepford>Example: http://theweeklydrop.com/archive/issue-31?utm_source=The+Weekly+Drop&utm...

[21:08:04]<darthsteven>I do
[21:08:09]<darthsteven>almost exclusively
[21:08:17]<halcyonCorsair>and do you have 'dev' sites on aegir itself, or off aegir until something is ready to go / be updated?
[21:11:36]<halcyonCorsair>darthsteven: if you do develop in aegir, do you how do you pull changes back to the makefiles, just manually?
[21:14:15]<darthsteven>halcyonCorsair: we use Aegir in dev, but only to set up the site initially
[21:14:27]<darthsteven>we just re-run drush make when we need to
[21:14:42]<darthsteven>though we just re-make the profile, not the entire platform
[21:15:39]<halcyonCorsair>darthsteven: so go to the platform, then update and rerun the profile makefile?

[06:09:58]<orangey>theMusician: it's because the server is a dev server for now, so the host doesn't lookup right.
[06:10:04]<orangey>but it isn't an issue
[06:10:12]<orangey>it looks like the issue is related to captcha's updates
[06:10:47]<lsolesen>joestewart: so say, I have vih.dk, dev.discimport.dk and kursuscenter.vih.dk which are all drupal 7.12, I should just pull in all dependencies for each site in sites/domain.dk - folder and pull in the install profile in the profiles directory of the sites build?
[06:11:11]<theMusician>orangey: When I have had that issue before, I have simply disabled the module. Ran the migrate and then reenabled after the migrate occured. You might be running out of PHP memory as well. What do you have allocated?
