[03:46:20]<colan>anyone heard of Caddy yet? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caddy_(web_server)
[03:46:20]<hefring>colan: 17 hours 43 min ago <memtkmcc> tell colan the patch looks good, but it needs an extra check: https://www.drupal.org/node/2829411#comment-11823041
[03:47:04]<colan>HTTPS is automatic by default using Let's Encrypt.
[03:48:26]<colan>The Airship guys are recommending it as probably the most secure.
[03:48:44]<colan>memtkmcc: good catch there.

[05:11:39]<memtkmcc>hefring: tell colan: re: Caddy, yes, I'm following its progress, it looks nice, but it seems it is not intended for anything beyond very small scale hosting, it does everything for you on the fly, like in a black box, with very little control left. We could play with it anyway, perhaps. But it is a bit worrying that it will re-check all certs on every restart, and Aegir restarts web server (even a few times)
[05:11:39]<hefring>memtkmcc: I'll pass that on when colan is around.
[05:11:47]<colan>.

[05:12:11]<colan>memtkmcc: i'm always around; running irssi in tmux ;)
[05:12:21]<memtkmcc>ah, ok :)
[05:12:38]<colan>probably going to switch to irccloud.com soon though.
[05:14:25]<colan>speaking of security, i'm really impressed with what i've been seeing in the docs for Airship: https://github.com/paragonie/airship-docs/blob/master/en-us/WHY.md & https://paragonie.com/blog/2016/05/keyggdrasil-continuum-cryptography-po...
[05:14:47]<colan>Aegir 4 should be able to host it. :)
[05:15:37]<colan>fairly new CMS, but I like the concept.
[05:18:18]<memtkmcc>Wow, it looks quite impressive, but the auto-updates always-on are always a bit frightening :)
[05:18:34]<colan>memtkmcc: why? it's trusted.
[05:18:46]<colan>plus, p2p verification.
[05:23:03]<memtkmcc>signed or not, the central updates server is still a single point of failure for all remote sites, like in WordPress, at least, you can't assume that signed == trusted no matter what, unless *you* control the master server, but the good news is that you can choose your own mirrors and key to trust, and *this* is really smart!
[05:24:33]<colan>it's better than anything anyone else is doing.
[05:24:41]<colan>that's for sure.
[05:24:49]<memtkmcc>that is for sure
[05:24:52]<memtkmcc>right
[05:26:33]<memtkmcc>PHP 7.1 or newer required
[05:27:17]<memtkmcc>Sounds like something perfect for freaks like me ;)
