[15:32:51]<colan[m]>Anyone know if backups generally include files in the sites' temp directories? These should be excluded, but I'm getting permission denied errors when running backups because it can't read them; they're owned by `www-data`, naturally.
[03:06:55]<colan[m]>re: Nginx, I've been looking to check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caddy_(web_server) anyway.
[03:11:57]<theMusician>@colan I think they are in the backups, when sites are cloned between platforms I sometimes get an access denied error and have to go remove the contents of temp to get a clone to work

[09:07:18]<colan[m]>theMusician: Thanks for confirming that; seems to be what's happening here. Going to see if I can fix that as, even if it weren't a permission issue, it'd make the backups smaller, which would be doubleplusgood.
[09:09:28]<colan[m]>We should be able to exclude whatever the tmp dir is set to.
[09:40:38]<theMusician>Awesome
[10:01:47]<colan[m]>theMusician et al.: I reopened an old issue dealing with this (that didn't actually deal with it, IMHO): https://www.drupal.org/project/provision/issues/2542236#comment-13391339
[10:01:49]<hefring>https://www.drupal.org/project/provision/issues/2542236 => "Could not back up sites directory for drupal " due to permissions on temp files [#2542236] => 12 comments, 1 IRC mention
[10:02:09]<colan[m]>Please add your thoughts on the approach & patch.
