[18:57:19]<matslats[m]>Hi Again I see this channel is very quiet. I have a massive job upgrading 400 sites from d7 to d8. Aegir can't do it so I'll falling back to drush provision, but there's occasional bugs and weak documentation and I can get very stuck. What's the best place to get a bit of quick-fire support?

Aegir can't do it so I'll falling back to drush provision, but there's occasional bugs and weak documentation and I can get very stuck. What's the best place to get a bit of quick-fire support? On https://drupal.slack.com it unhelpfully asks me to "Contact the workspace administrator at Drupal for an invitation."
[19:01:45]<matslats[m]>Anyway current problem is this:
[19:01:45]<matslats[m]>I've done provision-save to make a drupal alias file. But when I run provision-install it says I don't have required boostrap level to run. Which usually means it can't access the database. But of course there isn't a database if the site isn't installed!
[19:17:58]<matslats[m]> * Anyway current problem is this:
[19:17:58]<matslats[m]>Following the example on https://aegir.readthedocs.io/en/3.x/develop/provision I've done provision-save to make a drupal alias file. But when I run provision-install it says I don't have required boostrap level to run. Which usually means it can't access the database. But of course there isn't a database if the site isn't installed!
[20:06:12]<matslats[m]>Current problem is when I run provision-install, following instructions on https://aegir.readthedocs.io/en/3.x/develop/provision it stops with no database credentials (and no database). Should have have created the database and if so where should the credentials be stored? Or is the db creation automatic and not happening for some reason?

[00:07:28]<colan[m]1>matslats: Feel free to ask Aegir questions in here, but if they're not related to Aegir, the Drupal Slack instance is probably the best. See https://www.drupal.org/slack or info on getting in there.
[00:08:32]<colan[m]1>Provision is an Aegir component so you can ask about that here.
[00:34:44]<sensespidey[m]>matslats: in terms of "quick-fire" support, there are folks in this channel who offer paid aegir support, if that's an option for you :)
[03:08:30]<matslats[m]>Thanks a lot. Amazingly I've just installed my first site using aegir alone, so I've broken the back of it. In terms of paying for support, I'd like to outsource the whole job but its not an option! This is for a francophone community currency network, which gets by with as little money as possible which I've been supporting for a decade now.
[03:22:46]<sensespidey[m]>Fair enough. That's impressive, with 400 sites!
